JACOBS, Peggy (Tate) - Passed to her eternal heavenly home July 25, 2010 at Best Care Nursing Home Wheelersburg, OH. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 12 noon until time of service. Interment to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Peggy was born September 6, 1919 in OK but moved to AR. and lived there until she married her husband Jean V. Tate. They moved to MI a few years after that and she lived in Mt Morris or Flint most of her life. After Jean passed away in 1962 she married Harold M Jacobs. She was preceded in death by Harold and one son Frank Tate. She leaves to remember her, one son Norman (Mary) Tate of National City, MI, one daughter Shelia (Gordon) Bristol of Avon Park, FL, one step-son Robert (Sue) Jacobs of Otisville, MI. Lee Tate, daughter-in-law of Wheelersburg, OH, was her loving caregiver. She had eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a charter member of Home Missionary Baptist Church in Mt Morris. At the time of her death she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church Burton MI. She will be long remembered as a great woman of faith and family matriarch. We would like to thank the employees of Best Care for the special love and care shown to our mother / grandmother over these many years.
